Just a quick quack… for Wordless Wednesday

Ducklings on the beach

Being out at my dad’s old place yesterday, I went for a walk down to the lake in the afternoon. Not too far away from the human families enjoying a day at the beach, I found a family of mallards doing the same thing…

 

 

They got a little bit nervous as I approached, so made a unanimous decision to go for a swim.

 

Looking left, looking right… Seems safe enough…

Here we go!

 

Always do what Mummy does!

 

Not sure how she does that thing with her foot though!

 

Getting tired of all this cleaning… I think I’ll go back up on the beach and have a nap. That human doesn’t seem so dangerous after all…

 

Good idea, I’ll join you…
