A “new old” building. Some years ago the old wooden building was to be repaired but when they started the job they found it to be in such a bad state that it came to be replaced by a new “look-alike” building. I’m glad they kept the old style though, we have very few old wooden buildings in the town centre because of big fires back in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
An amazingly cute building even though it is so large! The windows and frame features give it so much character!
ReplyDeletelove all the red!
ReplyDeleteWow that's a lot of window. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteRed Barn
I like the roof, too. Almost looks a bit Spanish.
ReplyDeleteSuch an eye-catching building! We don't have any wooden buildings here, even homes are all built from bricks since wood are fire hazard. We used to have wooden type houses in early 1970s but slowly these were replaced with high rise apartment.
ReplyDeleteWe have no wooden buildings like this in the UK that I know of. Like you, I'm glad they kept the style for you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! Happy RT2!
ReplyDeleteMine's here.
I love the red windows! And so many of them...very nice shot!
ReplyDeleteit is beautiful and a great idea to make it look old. we have a couple of places here that did that when they built the homes, made them look like old frame houses from 1900's. i love the look of them. i like this building a lot.

ReplyDeleteI like the facade with red trim around the windows. I like the double red door and the clay tile roof. It doesn't look very old. Too bad about the fires.
ReplyDeleteThose are cool designs, beautiful..
ReplyDeleteVisiting for RT 2 - hope you can stop by:)

wish they can do this to our Christchurch cathedral, instead of pulling it down due to the earthquake.
