Ruby Tuesday – Black Swans

CIMG2813-001

The Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) is a species of swan, which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia. We also have a pair of them in a bird sanctuary here in my town in Sweden, though! (They are not in a cage, they were outside someone else’s!)

  1. we had 2 black swans just like these at Jungle Gardens, with free roam of the ponds and jungle, the female died and it hurts my heart to see the male looking for her....

  2. What an awesome picture! It looks like they are posing for you, they almost make a heart! I have some photos of them, but not near as good as this and not up close.
