That first picture, I would love to have any of those. Around the hips, that IS meant to be a scarf?
Since I'd never wear a scarf around the hips, I take it to be a skirt, but what do I know... It probably takes waist and hips like on the dummy to wear it right though. In my size it would just look like I'd rolled myself into a rag rug! *LOL*
i had a coat many years ago very much like the one in that first photo. i like that hanging material in front of the window.

I don't remember what was in that box. Judging by that huge artificial flower nearby my guess is coloured wool for feltmaking, but I'm not sure. (I never tried that.)
