It's the kind of fun I prefer to watch rather than partake in ;) Besides, judging by the size of the things, I think it was only for kids... Part of a "recycling" event in town last weekend.
I've seen something like this on land before, but never on water. Take lots of teamwork to keep it going and not turn over. Very original Wordless Wednesday entry.
Kim, it doesn't show in this photo, but they were really close to the quay with lots of people watching, and a rope attached so that they could be pulled back in an instant. I'm sure it was quite safe - even if I tend to agree with you, I wouldn't go out in one myself! ;)
