As usual this time of year, we have a lot of “teenage” seagulls wandering about the neighbourhood…
i love to watch the gulls wheeling and shrieking in the sky at the beach. and we have them in town to, just like you do. Walmart parking lot is full of them and a lot of black birds to.
Yes, I like the gulls too, even though sometimes they can be a bit of a nuisance when there's too many of them and they get too "bold". This time of year I'm amused by the young ones because they look so silly, still preferring walking to flying - and their parents still keeping an eye on them. With this one, just before I got the camera out, I saw it's mummy (or possibly daddy, I'm not sure how gulls share the parenting duties between them) feeding it a piece of bread... If not for that, one might almost think the young ones a species of their own, still having a different shape and colour compared to the adult birds.
Oh, dear. Feel badly for this guy but probably shouldn't be concerned. How far are you from the water? Like the way you arranged your "wordless" story and this little one does look lost.
Not to worry... His mummy (or possibly daddy) was circling above me as I took the photos! Bird's way the river is only about 300 m away, and we have several families of gulls obviously nesting in the area. ;)
Oh yes, I see now, as a teenager..less development. Nice pics.
What a great series of photos! I loved the story line...thanks for joining Wordless Wednesday Again! This was perfect!
Hehe that is so cute! Thanks for sharing and the visit too.Kim,USA
