I'm afraid I don't have an answer so I'm waiting too! It seems odd to me because walkways (even those that don't get plowed) usally seem to get clear of snow before the lawns do.

ReplyDeleteGinny has the right answer, the surface of the tennis court is colder that the surrounding ground. The soil will hold the heat longer than stone.
