The first four pictures were shot last week with my old camera. The last four I took yesterday with my new camera (Casio Exilim EX-H30), bought this week. I haven’t really had much chance to get properly acquainted with it yet. For one thing most of this week has been wet and windy, and for another, as simple as the camera may look at first sight, the complete user’s guide comprises 178 pages… ;)

  1. Simply stunning! these flowers are don't grow well in our country due to our heat, I've seen the tree but they don't mass bloom, just a few bloom here and there.

  9. I love the crab apples! We used to have 2 massive ones behind our house that my dad planted 30 years ago but had to take them out as they were messing with the foundation.

  11. Yummy, crab apples, make the best apple butter and added to grapes and other fruit a great source of pectin for jam/jellies.
love the pink blossoms, and I went back to look at old camera versus new, and found no discernable difference. have a great week.

  12. Congrats on the new camera! And I love the last four shots particularly, the way you get progressively closer with each one. Great color.

  13. Thanks for your comments! On the blog there might be no noticeable difference in sharpness etc between the old and the new camera; but the new one gives me more options when it comes to distance vs close-up shots and trying out manual settings.
