In some gardening program on TV recently, there was a tip about planting things in old gutters. Coming out to my dad’s old place one day this week, I found that we’re very trendy!
Although I’m not sure sunflowers was what they had in mind ;)
Must have been some bird that did the planting for us…?
(It’s growing in the gutter of the outbuilding, not on the main house.)
That's wonderful.
ReplyDeletei love it. what a find and the shadows are so pretty,
ReplyDeleteVery nice composition in your photo.
ReplyDeleteRegards!
What an interesting sight. Never saw anything growing out of a gutter. Mine are so full, I could probably plant an entire garden it them.

ReplyDeletePlease come and see my shadows at Nostalgic Marveling, have a blessed Sunday!
This is one of the strangest things I have seen on a blog, so you win a prize for that!! I had to look and look at this to figure it out. How can anything grow in the gutter without dirt??
ReplyDeleteGinny: Who says there's no dirt...? ;)
ReplyDeleteWonderful endeed. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThat sunflower wants to live, no matter what!
ReplyDeleteBITS OF SHADOW
Bits of shadow and blasts of light,
Morning and evening, noon and night;
Days of darkness, gloomy and drear;
Sometimes bright ones, bringing good cheer;
Spring or winter, summer or fall,
Light or shadow—embrace them all!
