This is in a store window, right?? It is one of the cutest things I have ever seen!!!! Did you notice how much it cost? I would have bought it immediately! Do you know if this store has a website or mail order?
the video is beautiful, love the music and the mules with the bells. if i tried to walk with all those candles on my head there might be a fire. the angels in you photo are so cute, and i see one has the candle on her head.
I have to say that the photo caught my eye on FB as being quite unusual and there is something very 'clean' about it.
Although I carry the song Santa Lucia in my head (my parents had Enrico Caruso singing it on an old 78rpm record which I may still have) I had no idea who she was except that she appears in the Mass and is a saint recognised by quite a few faiths. So I looked her up in Wiki. I now know that she is the patron saint of the blind and that there is a great deal of interest to read about her given that she lived from 283 to 384.
I watched the video; then I shared it on my FB page. From that I discovered that a younger friend had lived in a predominantly Swedish neighborhood in Chicago and learned many of the customs. How wonderful the web can be!
