I'm not sure that I actually follow that particular verse but the photo and the whole Advent Calendar is superb. It's certainly much more appropriate to its true purpose than most of the commercial ones that I can recall.
i love the photo, those are really cool boots. i saw what GB wrote and foudn the verse in the NIV and it might help with what it means. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
