The bathing platforms have been pulled up on the beach for the winter.

  1. It wasn't possible for me to link to Watery Wednesday as planned. I just kept getting the message: "The length of your name must be less than or equal to 0" I tried a few varieties including letting my name be just '0' or leaving it blank, but that did not work either. I'm afraid the riddle beats me!!!

  3. How about minus 1 - that's less than 0!

  4. What's up with those big boards? Do people have to stay on them?

  5. Ginny, they are bathing platforms/piers/bridges, whatever you call them. In the summer, they float on the water, secured to poles. You can walk out on them if you don't want to wade. They're only up on land for the winter, because the lake will freeze and that does more damage to the wood than if they're up on dry land.
