'Rødgrød med fløde' (‘red porridge with cream’, a sweet fruit dish from Denmark/Germany) in Danish features many of the elements that make the language difficult for non-native speakers to pronounce.
Hmmmm, yet thy do not look like I would think a flowery bear would. I like all the others better. Again, this is great fun!!!! I imagine if you sold calendars of the bears, you could get quite rich!
ReplyDeleteNot mine to sell, I'm afraid... Besides, their purpose is to encourage charity, not greed! (This is not a commercial exhibition.) The attempts to sort the bears in categories according to the patterns on them is all my own doing just to come up with different headings for my posts, so as to be able to find my own way back if I want to go looking for a particular one.
DeleteI was going to start to tot up all the bears. Is there a country missing? It really is amazing.
ReplyDeleteAdrian, there are 108 bears in the Mini Bears show. In the Big Bear show there are 140 countries represented. So yes, there are countries missing! So far I've only thought of one that I went looking for and which wasn't there, though. (You'll learn which one before Christmas.) It's a big world! I won't be able to fit even all the 108 in here. I guess I'll end up showing somewhere around 60% of them perhaps. My choices are a mix of personal preferences and prejudices and ignorance, plus how they fit into various photo memes; so better not analyzed too deeply ;)
Deletesomehow I do not think flowers for Russia...
ReplyDeleteThe first two are very attractive but Denmark - hmmm.
ReplyDeleteGB, I have to say I included the Danish one mostly to show the variety...
