My Calendar 2011 *March* + Watery Wednesday

1103-DSCN5208-1

Last winter it was February that was the coldest and snowiest month. (This winter so far it was December. An exception to the rule, because usually January and February are colder here.) This picture of the ice finally breaking up and going away was taken on 24th March, 2010. I hope we won’t have to wait that long for the first signs of spring this year…

  4. It's always a welcome sight, I'm sure, to see ice chunks flowing downstream. Spring is on its way!

    FANCY THAT!

    A hunter of all kinds of water
    Had neither a son nor a daughter;
    But ocean and sea
    Provided such glee—
    He fancied adopting an otter!
