My Calendar 2011 *March* + Watery Wednesday

Last winter it was February that was the coldest and snowiest month. (This winter so far it was December. An exception to the rule, because usually January and February are colder here.) This picture of the ice finally breaking up and going away was taken on 24th March, 2010. I hope we won’t have to wait that long for the first signs of spring this year…

For more wet pictures, go visit Watery Wednesday.

  1. A very chilly sight but very beautiful!

  2. I'll second your comment. this shot is awfully cold looking.

  3. I am ready for winter to begin it's leave here also. but we still have snow piled higher than the cars around here. it will be a while yet for us.

  4. It's always a welcome sight, I'm sure, to see ice chunks flowing downstream. Spring is on its way!

    A hunter of all kinds of water
    Had neither a son nor a daughter;
    But ocean and sea
    Provided such glee—
    He fancied adopting an otter!
